CSVA reaches out to Canada’s asset managers

CSVA was on display at the 2012 Canadian Network of Asset Managers (CNAM) Workshop in Montreal, on May the 7th to the 9th. The theme of the conference was Building Momentum. Canadian Network of Asset Managers brought together municipalities from across Canada to improve their asset management programs by learning to mobilize stakeholders, engage citizens and integrate feedback, such a consistent message with the value engineering community.

Three hundred delegates attended the conference in Montreal and a number of them representing various Canadian cities as well as visitors from over the world showed up at the CSVA booth; President Lucie Parrot and Past-president Ted Lane met with delegates from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia as well as the United States and New Zealand!

The CSVA was one of the many very interesting exhibitors displaying their products and services in the rapidly growing world of Asset management. The intent for CSVA was to promote VE to make sure the asset managers understand what VE is and what it can do for them to optimize their numerous projects in terms of renovating or replacing the assets they manage such as: infrastructure, water/wastewater, transit and transportation, energy, public and private buildings, parks so on.

We also used the opportunity to promote the upcoming Calgary CSVA conference and we discussed with the CNAM president to establish a relation between the 2 societies for future cooperation.
