The Ontario Ministry of Transportation with the Support of the Canadian Society of Value Analysis  hosted a seminar on Value Engineering and Alternative Delivery on Thursday Sept 23, 2010 in St. Catharines.

Topics                    Value Engineering and Design Build, Value Engineering and Construction Manager at Risk, International contractor’s perspective on VE and Alternative Delivery, Meeting cost challenges after award with VE, Risk Identification and Allocation.

There is growing demand to achieve best value in public infrastructure projects by utilizing the expertise of the owner, designer and contractor to achieve a good solution. The use of alternative delivery methods to bring early contractor involvement in the design of projects is a growing trend throughout Canada. This seminar will highlight a number of different perspectives on how to achieve innovation and best value in infrastructure projects.
