Pathways to Value-Promoting Value Analysis in Western Canada

On October 20, 2016, Value Analysis Canada – Western Group and CSCE Edmonton hosted a joint dinner presentation with a talk delivered by Hussien Al-Battaineh Ph.D., P.Eng., CVS®, Value Analysis Director – Western Group. His presentation entitled “Groat Road Rehabilitation: A Value Engineering Success Story” looked at Value Analysis Canada’s (VAC) history and mission, and examined Value Engineering/Analysis concepts and their application to Groat Road rehabilitation project undertaken by the City of Edmonton. The presentation was greatly accepted by the audience and generated a lively discussion.

The event took place at the University of Alberta Faculty Club in Edmonton. More than 60 attendees from provincial and municipal governments, as well as professionals and students, came out to the event.
